Prior to working for the U.S. government, she worked in the private and international sectors. Laura has a B.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland, advanced classical music studies at the Conservatorio de Música Gilardo Gilardi in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is a member of the North American Academy of the Spanish Language.
